It's time once again for the Sunny Stocking Sew Along #sunnystockingsal
Since we have so many new followers, I wanted to give you a little preview! It's loads of fun and full of AMAZING inspiration!!!
The Sew Along begins October 5th and runs through November 3rd However, we have many little elves making stockings after the Sew Along wraps up. You are welcome to continue stitching stockings after the sew along has ended and post with the hashtag, #sunnystockingsal

Each week we will randomly choose winners from the Instagram posts using the hashtag #sunnystockingsal . You do not need to post a finished stocking, progress posts are perfectly acceptable to qualify for that weeks drawing.

During the Sew Along, we will have several guest makers who will share their stockings and tips to help you along the way! The Sunny Gals will also have new ideas and tips to share!
You are not required to make our Sunny Stocking, although we love to see those Sunny Diamond Stockings and Clamshell Stockings!!! It's easy to join the Sew Along, no need to sign up and you do not have to purchase a kit - just sew!!! We encourage you to use the fabric you love to sew. Last month we had Christmas Bundles in the shop to help beef up your holiday fabric, but you can use any fabric you wish. It doesn't have to be a Christmas theme. Most of my stockings are just my favorite fabrics. So use your stash or the fabrics you love to sew! Most importantly, use the hashtag when you post your progress and your stocking!!! #sunnystockingsal
Finally, the Diamond and Stocking templates plus basic instructions can be found HERE. In the next couple of days, I will be adding more tips on how to get those pesky diamonds to line up.
Our Sunny Clamshell Stocking templates and instructions can be found HERE.
**If you are planning on using Needle-turn technique for applying your clamshells...please remember to mark the turn line on the right side of your fabric. To do this simply trace around the clamshell template on the right side of the fabric with a frixion pen or the sewing marking tool of your choice. Cut out the clamshell leaving a generous 1/8" seam allowance for turning under. Do not cut on the marked line for the clamshell. The marked line is your applique line.
